The Kodamas – Institutional Cultural Initiative

 

The Kodamas is the first published work developed within the cultural project P.Y. Uda no Hanami, dedicated to preserving and expanding the literary legacy of the Nipo-Brazilian author Paulinho Takayoshi Uda.

Following a structured two-year evaluation and planning process, DÜNYA FARAVAHAR organized and produced the first institutional print run in partnership with the author’s family representative, Wendy Uda. This special edition is designated for elementary school students (1st to 5th grade), promoting direct access to literature within educational environments and fostering imagination, empathy, and environmental awareness.

The project has been fully structured for institutional distribution and submission to public cultural funding programs, reinforcing DÜNYA FARAVAHAR’s commitment to cultural accessibility, educational development, and measurable social impact.

The next phase includes the development of an expanded illustrated edition featuring original artwork by Veronica Fukuda, ensuring artistic consolidation and long-term sustainability of the initiative.

More than a commemorative publication, The Kodamas represents a structured cultural action focused on access, preservation, and the intergenerational transmission of literary heritage.
